SURIBACHI HERBAL

RITUAL

Supporting both body and daily life

Suribachi Herbal began as a way to root myself in life here in Canada.

Through sharing oxymels, food, and conversation, I slowly built connection, community, and a sense of belonging.

Eight years later, it feels as though those roots have grown quietly beneath the surface.

And only now, little by little, something is beginning to bloom.

I believe plants don't give us strength—they help us remember the strength we already have.

Drawing on my background in nutrition, herbal studies, and Japanese food culture, I create small-batch oxymels and botanical goods inspired by the philosophy of I-shoku-do-gen (医食同源)—the idea that food and medicine come from the same roots.

I work with locally available herbs because they grow in the same wind, water, and soil that surround us.

To me, herbs offer another way of caring for ourselves. They invite us to see health as part of a whole, rather than something to fix only when it is broken.

Herbal traditions remind me to look at the whole tree, not only a single branch—to notice our daily habits, our food, our relationships with plants, and the environment we live in.

Perhaps it is simply another way of seeing health.
