Attention,
Repair, and
Ritual
Small acts that bring care to everyday life.
I work with herbs, textiles, and everyday spaces through food, mending, and Japanese traditional practices.
I came to Canada carrying many practices
that once felt separate.
Here, they slowly grew roots together.
Herbs became a way of belonging.
Mending became a way of caring.
Tea became a way of paying attention.
An invitation to feel, care, and see differently.
I explore the quiet beauty of repairing, making, and paying attention.
Through herbs, mending, tea practice, and creative work, I look at ordinary life from different perspectives.
-Awareness & Breath-
RITUAL
Suribachi Herbal
Rooted in Everyday Care
Suribachi Herbal makes everyday foods and drinks with medicinal herbs.
It offers simple ways to enjoy herbs as part of daily life — to nourish the body, slow down, and enjoy the season.
Through oxymels, herbs, and shared rituals, Suribachi Herbal invites a gentler way of caring for ourselves and the world around us.
-Ease & Flow-
Everyday ritual foods and drinks made with medicinal herbs.
Small ways to nourish your body, slow your day, and enjoy herbs as part of daily life.
One sip. One quiet moment.
REPAIR
Tsugi-hagi is a mending practice rooted in repair, care, and shared making.
-Revive-
Repair is not only about fixing what is broken.
It is about continuing a relationship.
Visible mending leaves traces of care, memory, and time.
Rather than returning something to perfection, repair invites us to see value differently.
“What skills would you like to pass on to the next generation?
For me, it is the practice of textile mending.”
ATTENSION
The most beautiful part is the one you never see yourself.
It exists quietly. For others. Tended to with the same care as everything visible.
WORKS AND PRACTICES
I create temporary spaces and experiences through tea, textiles, light, and everyday materials.
I am learning kimono, tea ceremony and flower arrangements through my life.
My work explores attention, impermanence, and the quiet relationship between people and their surroundings.
For in this season of living
There is awareness & breath,
One of renewal, as we rise.
There is a stream, with freedom & flow...
And I am part of the spiral
Where the circle is one,
And the current sweeps up
And the skies open, So that love can be...
For the ease & flow of life, I am thankful.
For Yuki...
